FORCE Technology participates at the SMM – Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine Technology - Trade Fair in Hamburg from September 26 to 29. You will find us in Hall 9, Floor EG, Booth 09.EG.540.
With 42,000 visitors from all over the world and more than 1,400 exhibitors, SMM Hamburg is with no doubt the leading international trade fair for this sector.
Tug simulator FORCE Technology will be exhibiting among other things a full-mission tug simulator setup. Together with SvitzerWijsmuller, FORCE Technology has developed a new state-of-the-art interactive tug simulation facility with a very high degree of realism. Four fully modelled tugs and a number of additional vector tugs can be coupled to an assisted ship, and escort and berthing operations can be tested with models of specific tugs and assisted ships. FORCE Technology’s full-mission tug set-up has been in use for more than a year and offers a unique opportunity for pilots and tug masters to learn to understand the tasks and limitations of each other. The result is enhanced safety of operations.
SeaPlanner SeaPlanner is a powerful tool for voyage planning and optimisation. The system is extremely user friendly and reduces the efforts needed for careful and safe voyage planning to a bare minimum. SeaPlanner includes all basic, graphically supported route planning functions like e.g. route comparison, distance calculations, waypoint and route administration, and route evaluation with respect to speed, ETA and ship performance.
SeaSense Visitors at our stand also get the opportunity to get a demonstration of FORCE Technology’s newest maritime innovation, SeaSense, which earlier this year won the prestigious Seatrade Award for ”Innovation in Ship Operations”. SeaSense is a real-time onboard monitoring and decision support system for management of wave-induced structural loads and ship motions. SeaSense is the result of a cooperation between FORCE Technology, Lyngsø Marine, and DTU (Danish Technical University).
We look forward to seeing you at our stand!
