3D modelling
06/12/2006

FORCE Technology has recently invested in a 3D printer using Rapid Prototyping Technology (RPT), so that we can offer our customers an extremely swift, precise and cost effective way of producing models.

In short, the RPT-technology is about creating perfectly scaled models in 3D. The input which is sent to the printer must be STL or SLC formatted from a CAD-programme. We are then able to model very complex structures accurately and swiftly – often from day to day.

The printer can produce models of considerable size. You simply make one section at a time and then put all the sections together to make a large model. FORCE Technology often uses the RPT-technology to produce models of ships, offshore structures and bridges, but only your imagination sets the limits.
